Stitchpad is built around sharing patterns, not exposing people. This page explains what is kept, why it is needed, and how we look after the details members trust us with.
When you join Stitchpad, we keep the basics needed to run your account: your name, email address, password protection, profile details you choose to add, and the patterns or messages you create.
If you upload a pattern, we store the file, preview image, category, stitch details and approval history so the library can stay organised.
Your details are used to sign you in, protect downloads, show your public profile where you choose to have one, send member messages, manage reviews, and keep the community safe.
Admin tools may record activity such as sign-ins, registrations, password-reset requests, download logs and IP addresses where security settings are enabled. Registration checks may also record a suspicion score and the reasons behind it, such as repeated registrations, unusually fast form completion or a temporary-email provider. This helps spot misuse and protect the pattern library.
Your display name, profile information, approved pattern uploads, public community posts, reviews and chat messages may be visible to other members or visitors depending on the feature settings.
Your email address is not shown publicly in member search, messaging, profiles or friend tools.
Private messages, account email addresses, login records, invite details and admin notes are kept inside the site and are only available where the relevant permission allows it.
Passwords are stored as secure hashes, not plain text.
If social login is enabled, Stitchpad uses the provider to confirm who you are and receive basic profile details such as your name and email address. That information is used to match or create your Stitchpad account.
Social login does not give members access to your social account, posts, friends or private social profile content.
You can edit your profile, remove optional profile details, and contact the site owner if you want your account reviewed, corrected or removed.
Unverified accounts may be disabled after seven days, but are retained for administrator review rather than automatically deleted. Accounts deliberately moved to the banned section are also retained until the Site Owner chooses to restore or permanently delete them. Some records may be kept where needed for security, moderation, backups, download protection or legal reasons.
Stitchpad aims to keep member details tidy, protected and used only for the running of the site. The goal is simple: make sharing patterns feel safe, calm and respectful.
